PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please come to your appointment fully prepared. This helps us give you the best cut and service possible!

Before Your Reservation

Please wash your hair the day before and use minimal products when styling. Keep your hair free of any hair ties, bobby pins, hair accessories, braids or twists. We would like to be able to see your curls as close to how they naturally curl as possible.

If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so 48 hours or more before your scheduled time. This will give us the opportunity to fill in that time with someone from our waitlist. If you are unable to give more than a 48 hour notice, you will be charged 50% of what the reservation fee would have been. The fee must be paid in full before you’ll be able to book a future reservation.

If you do not show up to your appointment, you will lose the opportunity to book future reservations online and be charged 100% for that appointment. You will not be able to book any future reservations until that fee is paid for in full.

If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment which will result in you being charged 50% of the service fee. Again, you will not be able to book any future reservations until that fee is paid for in full.

Once you arrive, we will introduce you to your stylist who will show you around the salon and take you to their chair. Your stylist will then have an in depth consultation to help you understand the difference between a curly cut and a straight haircut. Please bring any inspiration pictures you have and they will discuss how to meet your curl inspiration.

The Service

Your service will begin with a dry haircut. This is why preparing for your appointment is so important. Your curls will be cut to complement your unique curl pattern. When you add accessories, braids or hair ties it will temporarily alter your natural curl pattern which is why preparing for your reservation is so important. Once your shape has been created, you will be shown how to properly wash your specific curls and how to condition them. You will be shown which styling products are best for your hair and how to apply them. Next, you will be taught  how to dry your curls in a way that best fits into your lifestyle.  Your cut will be checked at the end and any curls that were hiding before will be trimmed at this point. We will end by discussing any question you have, talk about the best way to sleep with your curls, and how to refresh your curls each day.

A great curly haircut should last you about 2-3 months before it begins to lose shape. A Dry Cut at that point would be great for current shape maintenance. For a full reshape or if you'd like to go longer between appointments, we recommend you book a Collective Curl Cut for Returning Guests, which you can find under the stylist that you book with.
